We have a number of family-friendly events coming up at St George’s this Christmas:

The Living Nativity: Saturday 16th December, 2.30-4pm. Join Mary and Joseph and Honey the donkey for a seasonal stroll around Jesmond, via Acorn Road – looking out for Shepherds, Wise Men, and Angels along the way! Hot drinks and refreshments to finish. Wrap up warm, and come in festive costume if you want!

Christingle: Saturday 23rd December, 2.30-4pm. Sticky fun for everyone! Join us in St George’s Church Hall to make your own Christingles – oranges, candles, sweets, and instructions will be provided! Then come across to the beauty and stillness of the Church for a magical Christingle Service, with well-loved Carols, as we light our Christingle candles together.

Christmas Eve Carol Service: Sunday 24th December, 6pm. Come closer to see the Blessing of the Crib and sing familiar carols. It’s very popular, so come in plenty of time! (Dressing up encouraged!)

Christmas Morning Service: Monday 25th December, 9.30-10.45am. Start your Christmas Day in the time-honoured way, by coming to church! A joyful celebration of the birth of Jesus.
