35% of children in the North East live in poverty (figure from Children North East). Will you help us to help them?

“What you do for the least of my brothers and sisters…”

For the last few years the congregation and community have together collected items of new clothing for children living in poverty. It costs a minimum of £35.00 per child for uniform and shoes. You will not need us to tell you how much harder it will be for families this year. If you can: please help.

What is needed?

For ages 4-12+, especially 12 and over this year:

  • grey trousers for boys and girls
  • grey pinafore dresses and skirts
  • polo shirts
  • socks: grey for boys, white socks or grey tights for girls
  • girls’ knickers

For ages 5-11:

  • navy joggers
  • navy zipped hoodies
  • plain white short-sleeved T-shirts

Cash also most welcome in labelled envelopes, placed in the office letterbox.

Where? In the box at the back of church, emptied weekly.

There will also be a final collection for church and community on Saturday 23 August, 10.30-12.00 outside the main church door.

On behalf of these needy, vulnerable, and refugee children in our area, thank you.
