Sunday Knights

The Sunday Knights are a group of young people aged between 10 and 18. We meet every Sunday in the Church Hall between 5 and 7pm for fun and games, with times for reflection and thought interwoven.

"It's cool" - Dan, 11

Activities for the Sunday Knights are varied and numerous - this year we've enjoyed:

  • Film and faith discussions
  • Newspaper hockey
  • Ethical debates
  • Treasure hunts
  • Tour of the Newcastle Theatre Royal
  • Mini-Olympics
  • Rounders matches
  • Arts and Crafts
  • Wet n Wild
  • and much much more . . .

"Sunday Knights is like my family away from home" - Matthew, 15

As well as all the fun and games, the Sunday Knights are an active part of Church life at St George's. Many of the young people are part of the St George's Choir, others are regular servers and some help to lead the Sunday School. The Knights also contribute to the annual St George's Pantomime, the Church Fete, Expo, picnics and concerts with enthusiasm.

"Sunday Knights is a fun and exciting group where I talk to and make new friends" - Sam, 16.
