Students

With a high percentage of student housing, Jesmond is a hub of student activity. St. George's has long been a home away from home for many students, and continues to welcome students through its doors each Sunday.

St. George's offers a welcoming and accepting environment to all those who enter through the doors, and to all those in the neighbouring area - and students, whether they go to University, College or Sixth Form are no exception. In conjunction with our sister Church, St. Hilda's, St. George's has weekly informal worship on a Sunday Evening called 'Reflections' aimed at those students who wish to explore their faith and spirituality in a relaxed and reflective way. As well as worship, St. George's offers a plethora of activities that students can get involved in - whether you're interested in literature, music, walking in the country, drama or having a drink, there are clubs and groups for you!
Find more details of what's on offer under 'Activities'.

If you'd like to know more about anything that the Church offers come along and have a chat, either on a Sunday for one of our sevices or call in for one of the Fairtrade Tearoom sessions, or feel free to drop a line to our Parish Placement Student, who's always willing to any questions you might have.
