Nick arrived in Jesmond to be vicar of St George’s and St Hilda’s in July 2006.
Before coming to Newcastle, Nick was a parish priest in County Durham and involved in clergy in-service training.

Allison was ordained deacon in June 2008 and priest in July 2009. She trained at Cranmer Hall in Durham.
Previously she was a teacher in Darlington and tutor at St Aidan’s College in Durham.
In addition to her parish duties Allison is studying part-time at Durham University; her research is about Baptism.

Reverend Frank Wilson
Although retired, Frank is an active and important member of the parish team. He, his wife Pat and daughter Helen are regular worshippers at the 11.30am service, at which Frank often presides. Previously Frank was vicar of St Peter's, Wallsend.

Christine is an Ordained Local Minister and is based at St Hilda’s (our partner parish). She is a member of Bishop’s Council and the Diocesan Board of Education. She was previously a lecturer at Northumbria University.

Andrea works in the Parish Office every weekday morning (and sometimes at other times too). She deals with hall bookings and knows where things are, and how things work. She has been Parish Secretary for seven years.

Roz has just finished a theology degree at Durham. Originally from Burnley, she will be spending the next year with us.
READERS
Joan Grenfell
Joan has been licensed as a Reader for 20 years, first at St Hilda’s and then at St George’s. As well as preaching, Joan regularly takes communion to two of the nursing homes in the parish, and she leads regular Bible study groups. Joan is also co-chair of the Mission and Ministry committee.
Colin Dixon
Colin has been licensed as a Reader since October 2006. He preaches regularly and leads occasional (often seasonal) services as well as singing in the choir, playing in the Pantomime Band and writing the notorious annual Pantomime. He shares responsibility for pastoral visiting with Marion Murray.
CHURCHWARDENS

David Cullingford
David has been a churchwarden for just over two years. He lives close to the church, is a longstanding member of the choir, integral to the pantomime band and a key player in the Pantomime. He is a keen allotmenteer. David also finds time to go to work!
As churchwarden he is likely to be at the back of church on Sunday mornings to greet the congregation and deal with any problems which might arise.

Hilary was elected as churchwarden in April 2009. She will also be waiting to greet you at the door. If you have any questions, Hilary will be able to help.
Hilary also lives near the church although travels around Jesmond on her bicycle. She is very active, playing tennis, walking and cycling. She no longer has time to go to work!
